Heather Rowell
Designer

Heather’s design experience includes residential projects, retail, large scale hospitality projects and interior upfits. She has an extensive background in educational facility design and was a project manager for several public schools in North Carolina before moving to Houston. Since receiving a Masters of Architecture degree from Rice University in 2009, Heather has dedicated most of her time to sustainable residential design. She was part of the team that developed the architectural concept and overall branding strategy for New Living, Houston’s first green building supply store, and currently participates in New Living’s Greenius campaign to educate the community about healthy and sustainable design practices. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University, has taken design studios in Prague and Paris, and was a 2007 Rice Design Alliance Initiatives for Houston Grant recipient.

Heather compliments her architectural career with a passion for graphic design and printmaking. She has volunteered her graphic services for Architecture Center Houston and her prints have been exhibited in North Carolina, Texas, and California.
